DRAGON BOAT 2000
雙料冠軍!

In order to provide foreign students with an opportunity to thoroughly understand the Dragon Boat festival and associated customs, the Center of Chinese Language and Culture sponsored approximately 50 representatives to participate in men's and women's dragon boat racing competitions. During the months of April and May participants did workouts to build strength and practice rowing. This year's team members came from America, England, Scotland, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Italy, New Zealand, Russia, Panama, Israel, Brazil, Bolivia, the Czech Republic, and Canada (15 countries total). Even though the team members spoke different languages, they all spoke the language of dragon boating. During the workouts and the competitions, everyone cooperated and worked together, concentrating on their performance; and as expected, they did very well at the competitions!
